New guide to growing in small spaces

by Rhiannon James

The Good Life Front Cover (3) (1)

Matthew Wilson, Channel 4’s ‘Landscape Man’, has created a guide to help city dwellers get a taste of the good life, however small their outdoor space.

The online booklet includes projects for growing fruit, vegetables and insect-friendly plants on balconies, terraces or even an outside wall using guttering as pots.

The guide has been created in conjunction with trade body, the Horticultural Trades Association. HTA Promotions Manager, Jennifer Baggaley said, “Matthew’s top ’Good Life’ tips include; growing fruit and veg in small containers and hanging baskets - ideal for rooftops or balconies, making mini greenhouses, home composting and many more ideas to encourage sustainability within people’s own homes and inspire people to make the most of the space they have.”

‘The Urban Guide to the Good Life’ is available now at www.plantforlife.info/goodlife
